Good News! SLon Project Has Won the Bronze Award at the 2nd Yangtze River Economic Belt High-Value Patent Transformation and Utilization Competition

Recently, the award ceremony for the 2nd Yangtze River Economic Belt High-Value Patent Transformation and Utilization Competition was held in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. SLon Magnetic Separation Co., Ltd. participated in the competition with its “Large Particle Vertical Ring Pulsating High Gradient Magnetic Separator” project. With the full guidance and support of the municipal and district intellectual property authorities, the project stood out from more than 1,400 entries nationwide, successfully advancing to the top 100 finalists after passing through preliminary and semi-final rounds, and ultimately winning the bronze award.

This competition, jointly organized by the Intellectual Property Development Research Center of the State Intellectual Property Office, the Jiangxi Provincial Intellectual Property Office, and the Jiujiang Municipal People’s Government, focused on the transformation and application of high-value patents, with a particular emphasis on evaluating the technological advancement, industrialization level, and economic and social benefits of the projects. A total of 200 projects were selected for the semi-finals, and ultimately 100 projects advanced to the finals, making the competition highly competitive and prestigious.

The “Large Particle Vertical Ring Pulsating High Gradient Magnetic Separator” project submitted by SLon addresses the key needs of pre-selection and waste disposal of low-grade ores, as well as coarse particle separation. It overcomes the particle size limitation of traditional high gradient magnetic separators, achieving efficient separation of minerals at the millimeter level. This results in significantly reducing grinding load, decreasing energy consumption, and improving resource utilization efficiency. The relevant core technologies have formed a relatively complete patent portfolio and have been applied on a large scale in engineering projects, providing important equipment support for mining enterprises to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and achieve green transformation.

It is worth noting that this technology has recently been successfully included in the “Jiangxi Province Green Technology Catalog (2025 Edition)” jointly released by seven departments including the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission. This catalog selects only 13 green technology achievements across the province, with the “Large Particle Vertical Ring Pulsating High Gradient Magnetic Separator” ranking 5th. This fully demonstrates the technology’s outstanding advantages in energy conservation, efficient resource utilization, and green and low-carbon development, and further confirms its engineering application value and promotion potential.

In recent years, SLon has continued to systematically tackle key technologies related to pulsed high gradient magnetic separation, accelerating the coordinated development of patent cultivation, achievement transformation and industrial application. Related equipment has been promoted and applied in fields such as iron ore, vanadium-titanium magnetite and new energy minerals, achieving good economic and social benefits.

This award and participation in the conference are a full affirmation of the company’s technological innovation capabilities and patent commercialization achievements.
