    Wolfram mineral development in China is dominated by wolfram, which is a weakly magnetic mineral with a magnetization coefficient (42.33-32.03×10-6 cm3/g), much larger than quartz, feldspar, Muscovite, calcite, fluorite, apatite, tourmaline, arsenopyrite, cassite, molybdenite, galena and other common associated minerals. Therefore, magnetic separation can be adopted.SLon magnetization machine has been used to treat tungsten slime and -0.5 mm fine tungsten concentrate in the practice of mineral processing.

    SLon magnetic separator can be used for:

1) Coarse dressing or preconcentration of fine wolfram ore, discarding a large number of qualified tailings;

2) Separation of fine wolframite and scheelite;

3) Separation of fine wolframite from cassiterite.

    Wolframite is the dominant mineral in a tungsten mine in Jiangxi, and the tungsten fine mud ore dressing process is shown in the figure below.In this process, tungsten fine mud is screened and ground to -0.5mm, sulfide ore is selected by flotation, and then roughened by SLon magnetic separator. The enrichment ratio of wolfram ore by this machine is 13 times, and the abandoned tail mineral ratio accounts for 92.2% of the ore given by this process. The grade and yield of rough concentrate are 7.30% WO3 and 6.93%, respectively.This part of the coarse concentrate is selected by a shaker.The ore dressing indexes of the whole process are: feed grade 0.55% WO3, concentrate grade 52.82%WO3, WO3 recovery rate 85.01%.

    The successful application of SLon magnetic separator in this process, due to the large processing capacity of this machine, one equipment can be at most a shaking table.Most of the tailings are abandoned by this machine, which greatly reduces the amount of ore in the following selective operation.Saving a large number of plant area;The operation recovery rate of the machine is up to 92.57%, which ensures a high recovery rate of mineral processing in the whole process.
